University Village Recreation Program, at UC Berkeley was founded in 1986 and established to serve the needs of the University's family housing residents but has since broadened to serve the general public.

The program participants represent a cross-section of cultural and international diversity that includes families from 67 countries. Programs, classes and open recreation are available to children, teens and adults.
